This practically based course will provide coaches with an introduction to working with blind and partially sighted people and demonstrate how activities can be adapted to ensure that they are inclusive.
The course is aimed at organisations and individuals who have an interest in working with visually impaired people in a sport and active recreation environment. The course teaches best practice in relation to working with visually impaired people in an active environment, and participants are taught through a mixture of both practical experience and supporting background theory and information.
The course is usually offered over a half or a full day, the full day allowing for a greater exploration of some of the key sports targeted in the training, including Goalball, Blind Cricket and Blind Football.
Half day course or full day course - maximum of 20 people
